In the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley, on June 15th, Hunter and Savana said ‘I Do’ in the most beautiful, intimate garden setting. This was truly a romantic Los Alamos Wedding that we were thrilled to be a part of.
A note from the Bride
Our wedding was very unique and special because it was almost completely DIY’d by ourselves and family. Our venue was my aunt’s backyard which wonderfully outfitted my dream of having an intimate, romantic, garden wedding. My wedding dress was designed by me and sewn by my amazingly talented grandma, Mary Peters. Our cake was made by Dawn Peters, owner of Decadence Cakes (also my beloved auntie). She also catered our whole wedding! This was not only a huge blessing but really allowed us to customize our menu to some of our favorite foods like pretzels. Furthermore, Hunter and I with the help of my mom, handmade all the flower arrangements, decorations, and signs making our day beautiful and perfectly us.

Savana & Hunter’s favorite moment: For us, the first look was a special and quiet moment to spend together and soak in all the magic of our big day. Seeing Hunter before eased my nerves and gave me the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful venue with him before the celebrations with the family began. It was our favorite moment because of its simple beauty and its allowance for us to get in a few more kisses as an engaged couple.
Los Alamos Wedding Ceremony
Savana’s favorite moment: I honestly loved our entire day from beginning to end, but if I had to pick a highlight I think it would be the moment I saw Hunter while walking down the aisle; all of a sudden all worry and nerves melted away and I just could not wait to marry him in that gorgeous garden surrounded by people who we love. However cheesy it may be the ceremony and reception just felt beautiful and full of love and I am just so grateful for that.
Hunter’s favorite moment: While all of the classics like the first look, ceremony kiss, etc. were so memorable. The moment that we didn’t expect or plan was the giant Jenga game between us. This was a special moment because not only was it our first game together as a married couple, but everyone gathered around to see it happen. It turned quickly from a typical game of Jenga to an intense competition between newlyweds. It was fun and spontaneous, and the people made it even more exciting and memorable.
Finally, we could not have asked for a more talented, kind, and amazing photographer who captured our entire day in fantastic detail! We could not have been happier with our wedding experience and the beginning of our forever. – S&H
