A Classic Wedding at the Renaissance Indian Wells Resort & Spa

Ruben & Olivia are married! What a beautiful classic wedding this was! From their Catholic ceremony at Sacred Heart Church to their amazing ballroom reception at the Renaissance Indian Wells, this is a romantic stylish fall wedding to remember.

There were so many beautiful wedding day details and heartfelt moments. One in particular, was the classic car they drove away in. The car was a gift from Olivia’s Father. Like any great father, he knew that his daughter really wanted to drive away in a cute classic Minor 100, and he found one!

Throughout the wedding day, joy beamed from Ruben & Olivia. The great thing about being a photographer who shoots in a photojournalistic style, is that we get to see history unveil itself. Moment by moment, as we look through our lens we catch those little glances with the eyes, or soft touches, sweet hand holding and above all their true love. It’s amazing, and their classic wedding was nothing short of awesome!

I asked our lovely couple to give us a glimpse into their relationship and to tell us one of their favorite wedding moments, read their sweet thoughts below.

Wedding Moments from the Bride & Groom

“After dating for several years, Ruben finally proposed during a family vacation in Los Cabos, Mexico. The fateful day began with family photos on the beach. When it was our turn to take a couple’s photo Ruben knelt down and proposed to me right on the water! It was truly an amazing feeling as it was such an incredible surprise. Ruben has always been great at keeping surprises from me.

Soon thereafter, the arduous wedding planning began. As a little girl I always wanted a beautiful wedding but most importantly I always wanted my “principe azul” (prince charming). I am so lucky to have married my best friend and soul mate. Since day one we have had such a beautiful relationship making this moment much more special. My favorite things about Ruben are that he is always so thoughtful, loving and caring.

Additionally, he motivates me to be a better person, supports me 100% and always pays attention to the little things. For instance, when we were in Cabo, I found this beautiful watch that I fell in love with. Ruben convinced me to not buy it, yet little did I know he would later surprise me with the watch as he gave it to me for my birthday, making my gift so much more special.

My favorite part of my wedding was marrying the love of my life and seeing how many friends and family traveled from afar just to be with us. Our guests came from places such as Northern California, Texas, Tehachapi and Mexico, just to name a few. It was such an amazing feeling to walk into our reception and be joined by the people who have loved and supported us throughout the years. It was truly one of the best days of my life”. ~ Olivia

“What can I say, our love story has been so amazing it can only be compared to a Hollywood tale. The day I met Olivia I knew she was the one. Several years later, we stood on the altar hand in hand and were joined together by the communion of marriage. Marrying the woman of my dreams has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. Olivia has an unfettering charisma about her that intensely draws you close. She is beautiful and gentle, yet her love and humility is large is stature. Her smile can light up any room and SHE holds the key to my heart. One fond memory from our wedding was our first dance. It seemed to have brought everything together as we gazed into each other’s eyes and danced as one before our friends, families and loved ones. It was as if we were stuck in time and did not want the moment to end. Moments like that will always bring cheer and joy into my heart.” ~ Ruben
